Our mission is to inspire generations to lead extraordinary lives. To this end, we've been delivering quality chiropractic care to the Belleville community since 2002.

Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions.

Dr. Stephen Lippitt The Belleville Chiropractor

"I've found it difficult to recognize every miracle that I've experienced through chiropractic," says Dr. Stephen Lippitt. "I suppose that's what happens when you've been under care since you were six years old. You tend to take the miracles for granted." Throughout his life, Dr. Lippitt has seen a chiropractor to keep himself well. "Sure there were times that I suffered from headaches, low back pain, altered 'burning skin sensations', and jaw pain, but they never stuck around for very long after my regular chiropractic check up."

Having an uncle who was his chiropractor, Dr. Lippitt had lots of opportunities to ask questions about chiropractic and why it seemed to help so many different things. The answer he got was simple, yet profound. His uncle explained that the nerves in our body were like a garden hose. If there was a pinch in the hose, then the healthy signals that flowed through the nerves would get blocked, and the body's healing wisdom lost control over the coordination of the cells, tissues, and organs of the body. Chiropractic care got to the cause of the problem by removing the pinch in the nerves thereby restoring normal, natural healthy body function.

Looking for the cause of health problems rather then treating the symptoms made sense. Thus after finishing his pre-requisite courses for chiropractic college at the University of Calgary, Dr. Lippitt followed in his uncle's footsteps and attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon.

"One thing really struck me," says Dr. Lippitt about his experience at chiropractic college. "When I was there I met so many students and chiropractors who had experienced their own miracles from chiropractic... the diversity was astounding!" From the remission of asthma to improving digestion to stopping bedwetting as a child, Dr. Lippitt heard and saw first hand people's lives being changed through chiropractic. "It really broadened my scope of how much chiropractic could serve humanity."
During his four years at Western States, Dr. Lippitt's courses included biochemistry, biology, x-ray diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques, clinical diagnosis, human anatomy, physiology and patient care in Western States' public clinic. After graduating in 1996, Dr. Lippitt returned to begin practice back in his home town of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Dr. Stephen Lippitt with his family

Shortly after establishing practice in Calgary, Dr. Lippitt met his future wife Elizabeth McDonald, a singer from Prince Edward County in Ontario. Following his heart, Dr. Lippitt moved to Ontario and from 1998 to 2002 gained additional experience in over 50 different chiropractic offices across the province for doctors who were on vacation. In 2000, he and Elizabeth were married and, in the fall of 2002, they moved from Toronto to the Belleville area near where Elizabeth was raised. Dr. Lippitt assumed his practice from a chiropractor who was moving out of town, and has been loving practice ever since.

"We love skeptics," explains Dr. Lippitt. "I understand that people often have concerns and apprehensions about going to the chiropractor." That is why Dr. Lippitt makes every effort to explain everything in advance to new practice members so they have all of the information necessary to make the best decision that's right for them about their health care. "We're open, upfront, and honest with our recommendations. People appreciate that." One of the highest compliments Dr. Lippitt receives is when parents choose to bring their children in to be checked. "Children are great to work with. I love ensuring that they experience optimal health as they develop and grow into adulthood."

Dr. Lippitt and Elizabeth live near Belleville in Prince Edward County with their two children Victoria and Simon. Both children were born naturally and have never been vaccinated, nor received an antibiotic (if this sounds interesting, be sure to ask Dr. Lippitt to explain).
When not caring for patients, Dr. Lippitt loves writing songs, playing electric guitar, running outside, and playing board games with family friends and his kids.
"Thank you for visiting our site. I hope it can be a source of hope and healing."

I have been a member of the Chiropractic Generation team for the past 2 and a half years. What started as a maternity leave replacement has turned into a very rewarding career full of laughs and miracles. Aside from my own health issues changing, it is really great when you see the moment that a patient a "gets it!".

I am the youngest member of the Chiropractic Generation team. I was a patient of Dr. Steve's for a little while before I became a CA in January 2010. I have played competitive women's soccer for five years and it was beginning to take its toll on my joints. Since getting regular adjustments I have been able to continue doing the things I love. It has also improved my game significantly and allows me to work out without the pain.
